Cricket team rules from the how-to page archived 29 April 2025, then Player Exchange as its own section from 23 February 2024. Points tables live on a separate URL so the two scoring blocks are not blended into this page.

Rules to check before you enter

Count the squad before you look at a contest fee. The page wants exactly 11 players, a budget of 100 credits, and no more than 10 from a single real team. Each of the four roles, wicket-keeper, batter, all-rounder, and bowler, needs at least one player and no more than eight.

A regular contest, on the legality page of the same date, scores the first innings, and the team cannot be changed after that innings has started. A second-innings contest scores the second innings only. The 1 January 2024 FAQ says that team can be created until 10 minutes after the first innings ends, and that first-innings points are ignored.

The join line on the April 2025 page also said the reader confirmed they were not a resident of Assam, Odisha, Telangana, Nagaland, Andhra Pradesh, or Sikkim. Keep that as an old condition, next to the current fact that Real11 is not taking entries.

Build the XI by role

The credits are the constraint that bites after the headcount. Eleven names can still be illegal if they cost more than 100, if any role is empty, if any role has nine, or if all eleven come from one franchise. The maximum of 10 from one side is the page’s way of forcing a player from the other team.

Football and kabaddi are not given these cricket bands on the pages used here. The January 2024 FAQ sets kabaddi at 7 players with the same 2x and 1.5x multipliers. The legality page’s court summary uses an 11-player example for cricket and football. Only cricket, on the April 2025 how-to, receives the 100-credit budget and the 1-to-8 role caps.

Captain and vice-captain

Assign both after the XI exists. The captain’s fantasy points are doubled. The vice-captain’s are multiplied by 1.5. The points page of 23 February 2024 repeats those two multipliers in each scoring block it prints.

Live Fantasy, on the 1 January 2024 FAQ, does not use this pair. That mode asks for a 2x on the player you trust most and a 1x on the player you trust least. Using the classic vice-captain rule inside a Live block would be mixing two pages.

Responsible play

The old site linked a responsible-play page. This guide does not copy that policy. The age line that does appear in saved text is enough to repeat: the points page says the game is for people 18 and over, and the download card rates the app 18+. Account help on the January 2024 FAQ goes to support@real11.com, also listed on Contact.

Choose a format by how sure you are

The April 2025 page already sorts the choice by confidence. If you want to see a score without a fee, it points at a practice contest. If you know the match well, it points at a paid contest and a fee. Second innings is the option when the opinion is about the second half of the game only, with a team that can be built until 10 minutes after the first innings, according to the January 2024 FAQ.

Live is the option when the opinion is about the next 5 overs rather than the whole match. MVP is listed beside those modes and is included in the 22 May 2024 deposit-conversion note. The pages do not give MVP its own squad size, so none is invented here.

Picks that look strong and cost points

The 23 February 2024 points page is where a good-looking pick loses points, and the loss depends on which block is in force. A duck is −2 in the first block and −3 in the second, for a batter, wicket-keeper, or all-rounder. A century does not also pay the 30-run bonus or the half-century bonus. In T10 the page says a century pays nothing.

Economy points need a minimum spell: 2 overs in the first block, 5 overs in the second. Strike-rate points, bowlers aside, need 10 balls in the first block and 20 in the second, and the negative bands only apply once the strike rate is low enough for that block (70 or below in the first, 50 or below in the second). A player who has not bowled the minimum, or faced the minimum, simply does not collect those bonuses. The two blocks are printed in full on Points.

Short answers

Can the XI be edited after the match starts?

Not after the innings that contest scores. Regular contests lock at the start of the first innings. Second-innings contests lock at the start of the second. Before that, My Contests was the edit screen.

Where do the 28% GST and the 20% conversion sit?

GST, from the page archived 25 February 2024, is 28% on deposits from 1 October 2023, and that page says the platform bore it so the full deposit was credited. Conversion, effective 22 May 2024 on the April 2025 how-to, moves 20% of the deposit toward the winning side after play in MVP, cricket, football, and kabaddi. See the examples under Player Exchange’s neighbour note below. Neither rule is a current withdrawal promise.

What did a ₹1,000 deposit example do?

The how-to’s first case deposits ₹1,000, joins a ₹1,000 contest, and records a ₹2,000 return. It treats ₹1,000 as net winnings moved straight to the winning wallet, then moves ₹200 (the 20% it names on the remaining ₹1,000) into that wallet and leaves ₹800 as deposit. The balances it prints are ₹800 deposit and ₹1,200 winnings. The second case starts there, joins a ₹2,000 contest, records a ₹4,000 return, moves ₹160 (20% of the remaining ₹800), and prints ₹640 deposit and ₹3,360 winnings.

Player Exchange

Player exchange promo from the Real11 site.

This section is only the player-exchange guide archived 23 February 2024. It is not a team-building rule and it does not change the 11, the credits, or the captain multipliers.

The page is a card for one player. You take Over if you think that player’s fantasy points will finish above the card’s base price, or Under if you think they will finish below it. A parallel passage on the same page talks about runs rather than fantasy points, with the same Over and Under choice. Money put on a player who is later left out of the playing XI is refunded. Unmatched slots above the updated availability are cancelled and refunded as well.

Winnings are capped at twice the base. The page’s example sets the base at ₹50 and the result at 150 fantasy points, then says the maximum win is ₹100, not ₹150. The runs passage repeats the same cap with 150 runs. A cancelled match follows the line also used elsewhere: winnings are not paid, and the entry is refunded, including when the player misses the XI.
